Together. Today. Tomorrow.
The Paris Agreement carbon market can only be built together, it is being built today, and it is the carbon market of tomorrow.
Together.
One system. One framework. One rulebook.
Article 6 is not one developer running one project in one region. It is not voluntary offsetting, and it is not a patchwork of standards that each set their own rules. It is one system, the Paris Agreement carbon market, built on one framework, Article 6, under one rulebook, the Paris Agreement.
No one can issue an Article 6 credit alone. Every unit needs the whole chain to work.
- International
- UNFCCC rules, the Article 6.4 Supervisory Body, registries and reporting
- National
- A host country that authorises the transfer and applies a corresponding adjustment, and a buyer country that accounts for it
- Project
- A developer, a methodology, verification and finance that meet both
Article 6 Network is where it comes together
Buyers, banks and developers need to understand this system now, and act inside it with governments. The Network is one place to learn the rules, shape them and meet the people who apply them.
